Our Happy Family
I’m Mandie. I’m a Midwestern girl from the Midwest (oh wait, you probably caught that part already…sorry). I am a wife to one (also a given, but I suppose you just never know in today’s world) and mom to one although I wish it were many. We have a 5 year old named Carter who we just started homeschooling (which is an adventure by itself!).
Because of our inability to produce additional offspring (too much info, I know…sorry again!) We have recently become foster parents. So far we have had a couple of longer term placements and had many many short term respite placements. It’s a trip, let me tell you, but it’s one that (for the most part) we’ve been happy to be on. I know I am meant to be a mom to many and honestly, I’m not too picky on where they come from. Right now we are just taking care of all the kids who need a mommy and daddy to love them until they can go home, but if we ever have the opportunity to keep one of them, we’ll jump at the opportunity! Eventually, we’d like to adopt from Africa if it’s in God’s plan for us.
My life is chaotic, but it’s also beautiful and for that I am truly thankful. I believe that having passion for God and passion for family is the TRUE definition for living life to the fullest.
